It takes several hours to set up a profile and gigs so buyers can find you on Fiverr. Once that time is invested, the scammers descend - like two dozen in my first week on the platform. There are forums for sellers that could be helpful, except that the moderators delete any comments mentioning the scams and report is as spam - because so many people comment on the problem. I paid for a level of service above the free entry level. All that gets is training videos on how to build solid profiles and gigs, which I followed and still have not had a single legit buyer outreach after ten days. I have much more success on other platforms.

TrustPilot keep taking down my review for Fiverr, so I have to keep putting it up again. Without going into detail, I had a terrible experience with four scammers in a row which near destroyed my life. Similar to someone else who left a one-star review here, the scammers have it all worked out how to do what they do and Fiverr back them up all the way down the line. I also found out there is a thriving market in buying and selling reviews all over the internet through numerous very busy Facebook groups and Twitter accounts, etc. Nobody cares. The Better Business Bureau have delisted Fiverr due to their nefarious business practices. My chargeback request was granted and then rescinded due to all the lies that Fiverr told. I took it to the Financial Ombudsman who didn't care about the facts either that the order had not been fulfilled. Check out the bad reviews for them too.

Fabulous experience with fiver trust pilot

I paid for 1 week of service for a Virtual Assistant for my real estate business, hiring someone who said they were very experienced in lead generation. After the first day it was clear this individual was NOT experienced, so I tried to cancel the order and get refunded. Three weeks in dispute and I still have not received my money. DO NOT PAY UPFRONT. They have no customer service and are not accountable for the people they collect money for.

I hate Fiverr service because they have hackers in the background. I used a spiritual service and later on I started hearing no thinking at all, no drinking, no eating, just die, no computers, etc in the background of playing music. So something is going on, either its AI or some other service.
