Cloth Covers
Cloth cover books were commonplace in the 1800s. Nowadays, they hold a sense of tradition and prestige, making these books perfect for special editions of regular Hardcover Books.
And creating a print-ready file for a cloth cover book is simple. Our cloth covers are available in a wide range of rich colors, so you can coordinate your book dust jacket design with a choice of foiling options.
We don’t offer foiling on cloth-bound covers as part of our standard service, but you can request a custom quote. Please email us your specifications, including the size, quantity, and a separate casebound cover artwork file with the foil areas clearly marked.
Foiling
Because of their specific texture, we cannot print on cloth covers. Instead, we use foil stamping to deboss lettering, logos and designs onto the book cover.
To achieve this effect, you will need to supply a separate Casebound cover artwork file with the areas for foiling marked out. Follow this guide to find out how to create foiling artwork files.
Dust Jackets
Dust jackets can truly elevate your book's presentation. Book cover designers often like elements of their book design to continue from the dust jacket onto the cloth cover of their book in foil. Design features could include lettering, logos and graphics.
We print dust jackets on matte or gloss paper on a single sheet so the flaps can wrap around your book cover. The folding flaps also provide extra space for you to include more information about your publication.
