Can I order a sample? Do you offer Sample Packs?

Can I mix different paper types/weights in 1 item or have a sticker page?

For bound items, all pages will be printed on the same paper type and weight. Covers can use a different paper type/weight. Stickers or sticker pages are currently not part of our product range.

 

Can I apply foiling to the inside pages of a book/bound product?

Foiling is only available for the outer covers on bound products and on justone side on flat products.

 

I want to create a PrintLink from an existing order but the publishing option is not available.

PrintLink is only available for certain specifications and our systems provides alternatives such as different paper weights or paper types where possible.
If no alternatives are provided then the size or binding type might be the cause, especially on hardcover books with Smyth Sewing - only Adhesive Casebound is available for publishing.  Head and tail bands, bookmark ribbons or coloured end papers could also be causes for hardcover books. You can try a new quote with different specifications if possible.

 

I want to reorder an item but make changes to the artwork or specifications. Do I need to start from scratch?

You can use the 'Reorder' button in your Order History to start a new order. This will copy all uploaded files and item specifications to a new order. You can then adjust the specifications or amend the artwork without the need to restart the whole process from scratch.

 

Can I order my book unbound/without binding or with an open spine?

Unfortunately we don't provide this as part of our standard service.

 

I don't have a spine design/artwork, can I leave it blank?

If you don’t have more content to upload, insert a blank page using the three-dotted button at the bottom corner of each page thumbnail; including spines.

 

Why is the proof button not showing?

If the Proof button is not showing in your order it means that the Artwork is not yet complete. You first need to fill in all the pages in your order with artwork or blanks. If you have multiple items, you need to add every page to every item before proofing becomes available. Make sure there are no greyed-out thumbnails in your Artwork section stating ‘Artwork Missing’, including the spine area on PUR items. If you don’t have more content to upload, insert a blank page using the three-dotted button at the bottom corner of each page thumbnail.

 

Is it possible to print on the End Papers on hardcover books?

Unfortunately we don't provide this as part of our standard service but we can provide bespoke quotes for larger quantities.

 

Do you offer embossing or debossing?

Unfortunately we don't provide this as part of our standard service but we can provide bespoke quotes for larger quantities.

 

Can I print some pages in colour and some in greyscale?

You can only select colour or greyscale for your project. If you need some of the pages to be printed in colour then you should select full colour printing. 
Greyscale printing will convert all colours to black and white.

 

Can you use packaging or boxes sent by customers?

No, we cannot use any packaging or boxes sent to us by customers. We securely pack all items in double-walled boxes. However, we can ship with plain packaging without branding. If you require special labelling or additional information on the boxes, please inform us by sending a message in your order or emailing us with the order number in the subject.

 

What does the folded leaflet size displayed in the price calculator represent?

The folded leaflet size displayed in the price calculator is the finished item size after folding. For example, an A4 folded leaflet will be A4 when closed. To find the flat size, you can download the PDF template for your quote, which will display both the folded and flat sizes.

 

Do I need to include blank pages for inside covers on PUR items if I chose not to print them?

No, if you have selected the option not to print the inside covers on PUR items, you do not need to include them in your design or add any blank pages for them.
